Something has been stolen. A mysterious box, left for the police with a cryptic note, sets you off on a trail of clues that will lead you around the city of Oxford. But there is more to the theft than meets the eye. An ancient mystery is hidden in the shields of Oxford and you will have to uncover the secrets to recover the treasure.

Can you solve The Secrets of the Shields?

The hunt starts outside Carfax Tower on Queen St, OX1 1ET, and finishes nearby at another central Oxford location. The total length of the trail is ~2.5 miles although you'll probably end up walking further than this as you hunt around for clues!

We think the hunt experience is best with 2-5 people. If you have more than this why not break into multiple teams and compete for the best spot on the leaderboard?

This hunt is available between 9am and 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. The hunt usually takes teams between 3 and 4 hours so we recommend the following:
Mon-Fri: latest start 3pm
Sat-Sun: latest start 1pm

You will need to bring a pen and paper with you on this hunt.
