The Emergency Chest of Maastricht, the reliquary of Sint-Servaas, is one of the most important objects of medieval goldsmith's art in the Low Countries and is sometimes called the "Night Watch of the South". During the last visit, 9 precious diamonds were stolen from the emergency chest! The chest has thus lost its magical effect! Now that important protection no longer works, the city may be in danger!
